Section 9 of the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act (2004) came into force on 13th April 2011. This provision creates an expectation for local areas to undertake a multi-agency review following a domestic violence homicide. To support the implementation of this provision a number of resources for practitioners have been developed which are now available to download from www.homeoffice.gov.uk/crime/violence-against-women-girls/domestic-homicide-reviews
