Walsall SIT (Safeguarding Inspection Team) was established in September 2010. The group provides young people with an opportunity to make decisions relating to Safeguarding practices and service delivery. The group meets monthly for two hours and is chaired by the Walsall Safeguarding Children Board (WSCB) young person’s representative Dean Cordelle. Dean said of the SIT, “The SIT is a fantastic opportunity where young people can work with and challenge the WSCB to help support and protect vulnerable young people in Walsall.”
