Date Published : 07 September 2010
Lunchtime organ recitals are back on the musical menu at Walsall Town Hall – with the first one taking place on Wednesday 8 September.
Borough organist Peter Morris will be entertaining the audience with a range of popular classics.
And a screen will be installed to enable the audience to see him playing close up.
Peter’s programme will include Prelude and Fugue in A minor, Mendelssohn’s Sonata No 6 and Seth Bingham’s Rhythmic Trumpet and Voluntary.
Recitals are being held once a month and the programme will draw to a close in March 2011.
Julie Simmonds, Walsall Council programming and operations officer, said: “Peter’s recitals have made a comeback after a short break and we look forward to seeing his fans back at the town hall.”
