Young people and residents in Mossley are invited to drop in on a special open evening on Monday 8 March to get a sneak preview of a host of great new activities available in the area.

Services provided by the council's Integrated Young People Support Services, will include special sessions for young women, young men, young mothers, as well as an internet café and homework support club.

Young people in the area have been heavily involved in the refurbishment of the building and in drawing up the line up of positive activities as part of the Every Child Matters initiative.

The council secured cash from the Youth Opportunity Fund to pay for activities and funding from the Youth Capital Fund Plus for the building improvements. It is one of 14 facilities within Walsall that have benefited from building improvements funded by Youth Capital Fund Plus.

The refurbishment has included new toilets and improvements to the entrance, to make it more accessible and make young people feel more secure.
