Vardy group

The Shopmobility service supports people of all ages with mobility difficulties to visit the shopping, leisure and other facilities in Walsall town centre.

We are able to offer a choice of powered scooters, powered wheelchairs or manual wheelchairs to best suit customer needs and our staff provide individual consultation, assessment tuition and support in order to ensure customer comfort and confidence in using the equipment.

The service has been established since early 2006 and is currently growing rapidly, with further membership actively encouraged.

Shopmobility has gained local and national recognition for a high quality of service provision, having won Walsall Disability Forum's Award 2010 for Partnership Working, the Physical Disability award from Walsall Disability Forum in 2008 and also being presented with a Best Practice Award from the National Federation of Shopmobility in 2008.

Business sponsorship

The service offers businesses the chance to sponsor any of equipment at very reasonable rates and sponsorship includes the opportunity for extensive publicity as well as branding of the equipment with the sponsor logo which effectively creates a mobile advertisement for the sponsor. We currently have mobility scooters sponsored by Evans Halshaw Motability, Marks and Spencer, Co-op Ultra Travel and the Walsall Centre for Independent Living and please contact us using the details below if you would like to discuss business sponsorship.
