Economic development partners
These are just some of our key partners in the Walsall area who we work with to help with the regeneration of Walsall:
Walsall Partnership
Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) have been set up in the 88 Local Authorities that are receiving Neighbourhood Renewal Funding (NRF) from the Government. The Walsall Borough Strategic Partnership was set up in October 2001. WBSP works with the local community to improve the area for all.
Black Country Business Link
Black Country Business Link are committed to working closely with local businesses to help maximise their profitability. Their trained advisors can help you understand what makes your business work and how to achieve your potential. Whether it’s helping with a full business assessment or just signposting you in the direction of the best available support they can help.
Future Foundations
Future Foundations (the Walsall, Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire Regeneration Zone) was established as one of the West Midlands’ six Regeneration Zones. These Zones are one of the key mechanisms through which Advantage West Midlands (the Regional Development Agency) ensures that the Government’s Regional Economic Strategy, as set out in AWM's 'Agenda for Action', is delivered.
Our challenge is to ensure that we invest wisely the substantial resources that are available to us - through Advantage West Midlands - in high-value, high-impact projects. Over the next fifteen years, and beyond, we aim to drive forward one of the most ambitious, targeted regeneration programmes that the area has seen.
Advantage West Midlands
Advantage West Midlands is working hard with its partners to create a better region in which to invest, work, learn, visit and live. AWM invests around £300 million each year into activity that will help transform the West Midlands’ economy, focussing on business, skills, infrastructure and communities.
Its work in the Walsall area is predominantly directed through the Future Foundation zone work.
