Cemeteries
There are eight operational cemeteries in Walsall:
- Bentley Cemetery
- Bloxwich Cemetery
- James Bridge Cemetery
- North Walsall Cemetery
- Ryecroft Cemetery
- Streetly Cemetery
- Willenhall Cemetery
- Wood Street Cemetery
The former Queen Street Cemetery is no longer operational and as a public open space is managed by Lifelong and Community Services.
The following cemeteries are currently offering full new graves: North Walsall Cemetery, Streetly Cemetery and Willenhall Cemetery.

Opening hours
The opening hours for cemeteries and the Crematorium Grounds are as follows:
- January, November and December - 8am to 4pm
- February and October - 8am to 5pm
- March, April and September - 8am to 6pm
- May, June, July and August - 8am to 7pm
On weekends and public holidays we open at 9am.
The Book of Remembrance Room at Ryecroft has been closed.

Christmas 2011 and New Year 2012 opening hours
All council cemeteries and the Books of Remembrance Room at Streetly are open for visitors by 9am every day. Locking up time is 4pm.
The main office at Willenhall Lawn Cemetery [0845 111 2848] is open from 8.15 to 4.45 (4pm for personal callers) up to Friday 23 December 2011.
It will open from Wednesday 28 December 2011 until Friday 30 December and then from Tuesday 3 January 2012 onwards.
The crematorium at Streetly will operate as normal on those days.
The Register Office (Telephone 0845 111 2847) is open on the same days 9am to 4.30pm (9.30am on Wednesday).
