On-line access to the Books of Remembrance
It is now possible to look on-line at images of all entries in both sets of Books of Remembrance held at Streetly Crematorium. Images are up-dated at four monthly intervals.

Action taken to ensure cemeteries are kept neat and tidy
Regulations at all council cemeteries and the crematorium in the Walsall borough are to be reinforced to ensure the grounds are kept neat and tidy by all visitors.
Walsall Council’s bereavement services have updated their existing protocols after listening to the concerns of some cemetery users who had complained about memorials being stacked up on some of the graves.
The decorations have also caused a problem for maintenance staff who have been unable to mow the lawns due to graves piled high and wide with assorted memorials, causing the cemeteries to look untidy.
Letters are to be sent out to the owners of grave rights in Walsall where regulations have been breached advising them to ensure that all memorials meet an acceptable standard.
Signs will be put up in cemeteries over the next few weeks advising relatives of those buried there of the rules.

New memorial facility
There is now the facility to lease a wall tablet at Streetly Crematorium in a natural stone look.
