Who are we?

We are a statutory service for parents of children up to 19 years of age who have or may have special educational needs (SEN).

We give parents confidential and impartial information, advice and support so they can make informed decisions about their childs SEN.

We help parents understand what their rights are in relation to their child's education.

We promote positive partnerships between parents, schools, the local authority and other services.

Steering group

Walsall Parent Partnership Service (PPS) has a steering group that works with the PPS and the local authority to support policy, practice and development of the service. The group, which has broad representation including a majority of parents/carers and a parent chair, met for the first time in November 2008.
